'OakenShore started with a heartfelt dream: to introduce real Neapolitan pizza to London. Established by the Bianchi family in 1985, our pizzeria was initially a quaint family-owned shop, using recipes passed down through generations.
Marco Bianchi, our progenitor, mastered the craft of pizza creation while touring Italy, learning from renowned pizzaiolos in Naples—the home of pizza. After her return to the UK, she aimed to replicate the essence of true Italian pizza, with techniques and ingredients that are traditionally used.
What originated as a cozy 12-seat pizzeria has expanded into a cherished local enterprise, yet our dedication to excellence and genuineness has remained consistent. We persist in applying wood-fire oven methods, preparing our dough from scratch each day, and selecting only top-notch ingredients.
Today, 'OakenShore' is still within the hands of our family, with the Bianchis’ next generation propelling our enthusiastic crew. While we have adapted some contemporary updates, the core of our enterprise endures: crafting savory, authentic pizza that unites people.
